NAMPA, ID — October 25th, 2023 — The weather didn’t rain on our parade as Nampa, ID celebrated the opening of its newest hotel.
The 85-room My Place Hotel opened its doors in August of this year, and the attendance at its grand opening event was a testament to its highly anticipated addition to the Treasure Valley. Despite the cold rain and blustery winds, over 100 individuals attended the event, underscoring the community’s interest and enthusiasm. Remarkably, representatives from four area Chambers of Commerce were present, a show of support that was both unexpected and humbling.
The sense of excitement and community was palpable as guests congregated in the lobby, enjoying the melodies of a live guitarist, and gathered around the delectable farm-to-table appetizers in the shelter of the outdoor tent. The turnout was impressive, and the prevailing sentiment among neighboring businesses, residents of surrounding communities, and enthusiastic citizens alike was that “we’re all family here.”
There’s been a lot of talk about family, and that’s a pretty key word for My Place Hotels. We’re Midwestern-based — out of Aberdeen, South Dakota. Family values and relationship-building are the main keys to a lot of our success. So we’re just really thankful as we look around here and see all the folks representing the various communities.-Terry Kline, Executive VP of Franchise Development at My Place Hotels
Attendees of the event utilized their My Place Passports to explore various features within the Generation 2-designed hotel, including the spacious guest rooms. Each room is well appointed with a full-sized refrigerator, two-burner cooktop, coffee maker, and microwave. In addition, the hotel offers on-site laundry, a 24-hour grab-and-go store, an expansive business lounge, and more.
Beyond the homelike amenities, this new property enjoys a prime location just steps away from the Ford Idaho Center, the leading multi-event complex in the Pacific Northwest. Guests at My Place will find themselves in the epicenter of major concerts, sporting events, horse races, and more.
Dignitaries from Rimrock Companies (ownership), Johnson Hospitality (hotel management), and My Place Hotels Corporate were all in attendance to mark this momentous occasion. This follows on the heels of MPHOA’s recent announcement of a significant, two-phase franchise and development agreement with Rimrock Companies to establish 10 extended-stay hotels throughout the South over the next six years.
