There’s no place like home, but thanks to a robust team of hoteliers, there’s a hotel much more like it in Kansas.

Opening its doors on October 4, My Place Hotel – Overland Park, KS celebrated its Grand Opening on Thursday, November 14 with members from its development, management, and corporate teams as well as its welcoming new neighbors and community leaders. The brand new Kansas City-area hotel was developed by Eller Enterprises and is managed by True Hospitality LLC.
Having opened Wisconsin’s first My Place Hotel earlier this year and looking ahead to Minnesota’s debut property in early 2020, the team at True Hospitality has a way with making grand entrances.
Overseeing a portfolio of six My Place Hotels spanning four states, True Hospitality Executive Director Jeremy Murray said the kindred relationships made in each community makes the arrival into the state of Kansas even more fitting.
Together we’ve created a culture based on Midwest values coupled with iconic progression, so coming to Kansas was like coming home.

“From when the shovel first moved dirt to several months later when the red ribbon was cut to signify the beginning of a new and exciting venture– the sincere support, valuable connections and overwhelming encouragement from community leaders, local businesses, and close neighbors is beyond phenomenal,” Murray said.
In welcoming their new neighbors out for an evening in good cheer punctuated by remarks, the ribbon cutting, tours and more, Murray said the team succeeded in fulfilling their primary goal.
The grand opening goal was to return the favor. Our introduction to the Overland Park area was met with every bit of interest, enthusiasm, effort to make us feel at home; and we wanted this event to feel just like that for everyone who walked through our door today!

From all of us at My Place Hotels, it remains a true honor to experience the energy and commitment this tribe continues to contribute to our journey of growth. We are so grateful for the culture you bring to each community!
