My Place makes its third stop on 36-hour tour in Overland Park
OVERLAND PARK, KAN. (MAY 16, 2019) My Place Hotels of America is pleased to announce Overland Park will soon be home to Kansas’ first My Place Hotel. Overland Park Chamber President & CEO Tracey Osborn Oltjen and Senior VP of Economic Development Beth Johnson, along with City Council President Terry Happer Scheier and a host of community members and leaders gathered alongside owners, management, and My Place Hotels representative to celebrate the groundbreaking on site.
The new three-story, 64-unit hotel is helmed by Eller Enterprises and will be located at 8983 West 135th St. My Place Overland Park is expected to open later this year and to serve short and long-term guests commuting in and around the greater Kansas City metropolitan area.
Megan Tjernagel, CEO of Eller Enterprises, said she was impressed by the support and enthusiasm surrounding the groundbreaking event and looks forward to the hotel’s future role in the community.
